Catering

The Lions catering van and the line of BBQ’s, often under tents, are a familiar sight around Castlemaine and are present at many of the town’s major functions.  Catering is an important component of the Club’s fund raising activities.  The range of events for which the Club caters features many of the organizations within the Shire, including Shire Council activities: the Castlemaine Landcare Group, the Shizuoka Japanese Students’ visit,the Old Schoolboys’ Association, Mountain Bike Club, the Castlemaine Show, the Men’s Shed, the Rotary Truck Show, Dog Trials, Carols by Candlelight, Flowserve Christmas Break-up, Australia Day luncheon, the Bowling Club annual dinner, the Castlemaine Lions Swap Meet, the Clydesdale Feature Show, the Lions World’s Biggest Barbecue (for childhood cancer research) and the District Netball Tournament.
